WILD HEART

HEARTWORKS IMMERSION

2nd-5th August,

Co. Leitrim, Ireland

Experience the medicine of practice;

with yoga, meditation, cacao, herbs, tea, chanting & movement

wild heart

'wilde' in the Old-English translation of the word means 'in the natural state'  - a meaning that invokes reason to pause and contemplate how connected we truly feel to our natural state in today's chaotic world. Do we even have a reference point for it?

The yoga tradition holds that our inherent nature is joy; the innermost part of our being that is untouched by the illusion of opposites and the lure of sensory distraction - and that this place lives in the centre of the heart.

This innate sense of joy, compassion and ease that lives at the centre of the heart is what gives rise to our natural state - our innate wildness, as these animal bodies expand and contract and shift and change from moment to moment.

Practice teaches us not to box these natural ebbs and flows away into a rigid way of being - but to embrace the wildness that naturally arises when we listen deeply to the moment and nurture the skill of responding accordingly.

This weekend is tailored to help you begin that process of attuning to the wild within; the untouched, desirous, wild & beating heart that lives, breathes and nudges you forwards; if only you had the courage to stop and listen.

There is an intelligence contained within the heart that echoes the wisdom of nature.

What else maintains such steady rhythms? Where else do we experience the steady, reliable pulsation of cycles, functioning without question, so smoothly that our brains in need of logic and reason can't fully comprehend it?

What if we didn't have to?

The practices and space of this weekend immersion will support you in tapping back into the body and heart's innate wisdom - a space beyond the need for linear thinking; a space that thrives simply by being permitted to unfold; to feel, breathe, move & pulse exactly as nature intended it to - wild, free, in it's most natural state.

This revolutionary act of becoming established in the heart brings us closer to intuition, to innate somatic knowing, and to the desires that live deep within which serve as a roadmap back to our true nature.

Think yoga & somatic movement practices, combined with meditation, pranayama, chanting (kirtan), immersion in nature and group ceremony to weave together a full-spectrum experience of body/mind/heart.
