― Rainer Maria Rilke
Retreat With Us
Join us for a weeklong deep-dive into practice in the beautiful Shanti Space, situated just outside Lisbon, Portugal. This beautiful Quinta quietly nestled in the Portuguese forest is the perfect location to engage in practice and begin to integrate the layers of introspection moved through during Winter.
This retreat will be a deep-dive into the practices that most ignite a sense of equanimity, joy & peace in the heart. Drawing on teachings from the traditional practices of tantric hatha yoga & the Sri Vidya lineage of the Himalayan Masters, as well as Bhakti Yoga, mantra & vocal training - we will lather ourselves in both inner and outer harmony.
Heartworks
Just like any other muscle, the heart is something we must use and tend to, in order for it’s full potential to be unlocked. From the perspective of Yoga, the heart - specifically, the cave of the heart - is one of the ultimate destinations our practice can take us.
Heartwork is what happens when we infuse what we’ve come to know as ‘yoga’ with intention, with the universal and yet extremely personal longing for connection and ‘oneness’.
Heartwork is the process of learning the language of the heart - it’s ebbs and flows, expansions and contractions.
Heartwork is the ability to say ‘I don’t know’, and humbly bow to the intelligence of nature that guides our every move, emotion and decision.

Sometimes when we're in doubt, all we need to do is show up. Show up on the mat, for ourselves, for our loved ones, for whatever is trying to make itself known.
By showing up with intention, with humility, with a willingness to look beyond the immediate external image of what we present to world - a space is cleared into which the Divine (or your version of that) can enter.
Continuing to clear space in our lives to welcome in what we desire is a requirement on this path towards self-remembrance. As Toko-pa Turner says:
“This is the meaning of prayer. To clear an emptiness in our lives where the holy can enter. To prepare a place in our home, in our lives, in our hearts, where magic can feel welcome”. (From her book ‘Belonging’)
Come and clear a space in your heart, for whatever needs to enter, to arrive.

Your Hosts
Chrissie Chung
Chrissie is a dedicated seeker and practitioner of Yoga with over 8 years of experience devoted to unravelling and sharing the depths of its promise ~ to come home to an experience of Self as deliciously whole, already complete, with nothing else to prove.
Her wish is to offer with complete sincerity the full potential of this practice as a way to enrich your own life, a practice that can imbue you with the deepest sense of trust, that can guide you back to a place of rich inner-knowing, that can open you to receive the fullness of your life even amongst all of its uncertainty.
She seeks to share practice as a spiritual science, weaving together the wisdom bodies of Yoga, Ayurveda & Tantra alongside recent research in the realms of neuroscience to help bridge the gap between science and spirituality.
Jenny Ní Ruiséil
Jenny is an Irish yoga teacher, musician and creative who has been studying and practicing Tantric Hatha Yoga for the past 7 years. Her teaching reflects a deep driving desire to cultivate connection, devotion and inner resourcefulness in those who feel pulled to explore it.
Her love for sharing mantra and Bhakti yoga (the yoga of devotion) has developed into a recognition that heartwork (ie, the work of the heart and connecting to emotions/devotion/inner knowing) is at the core of why we do any of these practices, and the teachings of Tantra have only served to deepen and expand this inner knowing.
Her intention with sharing these teachings is to help others create a stable, solid foundation within, on which the inner heartwork can begin to gently re-orient them towards the sense of inner and outer harmony that is actually already seeking itself.
